I’ll do my best :-). But my priorities have shifted and brushing up my Chinese language skills has come first. It’s a bit silly to translate a Chinese book when you can hardly read Chinese – it annoys me that I have to grab a dictionary every time I read an interesting Chinese paper about the Yi. I want a higher level of proficiency.
Admirable… just don’t wait until you understand everything perfectly before publishing your translation, will you? Understanding more than the people you’re writing for is enough to be of service. (Speaking as one of them…)
I suppose it’s apt that this comes just at the end of Hexagram 5, but I’m still looking forward to more translation notes.
